India called and I went.
I just completed a carve (4 photo series below) in Orissa, Konark, India. It was in conjunction with a cultural dance festival that has been held there for twenty two years. This was the first sand Festival and six international sculptors and twenty four National artists participated.

Sand on the Riverfront
Master sculptor Kali Bradford trained 12 first-time carvers and completed this sculpture in one day with the team from DECA, sponsored by Walmart. The piece survived one major collapse when a newbie carved a bit too deep and then survived 45mph winds and a rainstorm that caused an evacuation.
